Homebuying Education is classroom instruction by professionals on the process

Financial Literacy Training gives people a foundation for developing budgeting
and financial skills and develops savings skills along the way.
Closing Cost Assistance are programs developed with public and private partners
to help families raise funds necessary for a home purchase.

Foreclosure Prevention Program
Home Partnership, Inc. provides counseling and education services for families and individuals who are unable to make mortgage payments on homes they currently own. Whether due to medical emergency, changes or loss of job, separation or divorce or even death of a spouse, Home Partnership can help. Under a new initiative developed in partnership with Maryland State Department of Housing and Community Development, help is now available to residents of Baltimore, Harford and Cecil Counties. The initiative provides information and direct assistance for homeowners who are falling behind on mortgage payments or facing the prospect of losing their homes.

Closing Cost Assistance
Saving for a down payment and/or closing costs is the greatest
obstacle most first-time home buyers face. As a result, government and private industry
have committed resources to promote homeownership in the form of loans and/or grants
to help meet this challenge. Most closing cost assistance programs require home
buyer education and may require Pre-purchase homeownership counseling. Often for
eligibility, and certainly to best understand the options available, Homebuyer
Education and Pre-purchase homeownership counseling must be completed prior to entering

Housing Counseling
Homebuyers and/or Homeowners can benefit from a personal
one-on-one meeting with a Homeownership Counselor. This provides a confidential
setting to address questions about budgeting, mortgage options, the real estate
transaction, settlement, credit, property taxes, property repair and/or home improvements.
Homeownership Counseling provides information about the options and resources available.
Whether you are purchasing your first home, just settled on a property, or have
owned for many years, Home Partnership, Inc. will work with you in your efforts

Learn with others over a 12-month course that teaches basic financial skills from
budgeting, to credit, investment, insurance and other topics related to building
wealth through the purchase of a home. As you save, your savings may qualify to
