Purchase/Rehab Program
Under the Purchase/Rehab program, HIP offers superior rehabbed homes for-sale throughout
the upper Chesapeake region to families earning less than 115 percent of the area
median income adjusted by family size. Homes are multiple-listed and are available

Asset Control Area Program
Under the Asset Control Area program, or ACA, homes are acquired under a unique
arrangement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). After
being rehabbed, properties become available to police officers, teachers, fire fighters
and emergency medical technicians for the first five days of multiple-listing. Thereafter,
they're available to families up to 115 percent of the area median income. Properties
